Professional, Individual Nursing

Every surgical procedure requires a professional team, working optimally together. Our nurses play an important role, whether in the operating room or on the intensive care unit.
Before and after an operation the patients are cared for on the ward of the Department of Congenital Heart Disease – Pediatric Cardiology.
Here, pediatricians, intensive care physicians and pediatric cardiologists work hand in hand to ensure the optimal treatment for each individual patient. Pediatric heart surgeons and anesthetists are also available 24 hours a day. Our nurses provide hands-on nursing care with the highest degree of professionalism and commitment.
The intensive care unit of the Department of Congenital Heart Disease – Pediatric Cardiology treats more than 600 children and adults each year. Patients‘ parents are welcome to visit them at any time, which helps the children get used to the hospital environment.
