The outpatient department is often the first point of contact for patients suddenly confronted with the diagnosis of a heart problem to receive information and advice. The Outpatient Department of the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery cares for patients in whom the need for heart surgery has already been established and provides aftercare after the operation.

Clinic for Pulmonary Hypertension

The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery offers special clinics for outpatients with pulmonary hypertension (elevated lung pressure). All the necessary diagnostic methods and treatment options are available. All patients are treated in close interdisciplinary cooperation and discussion with different specialties and specialized centers, to guarantee the best possible, integrated approach.
