Our services

In the Clinic for Congenital Heart Defects - Paediatric Cardiology we have been caring for patients with congenital heart defects of all ages by a highly specialised team for more than 25 years. In addition to the standardised surgical and interventional correction options, we offer individual treatment solutions especially for patients with highly complicated heart defects.

Our Team

We are a specialized team of doctors, nurse, physiotherapists, psychologists and social workers, caring for patients of all age groups. Our Department has a specialist intensive care unit, an outpatient department for congenital heart disease and a Competence Center for adults with congenital heart defects. The different professions work together to enable the best possible treatment for each patient.

Sport with congenital heart defect

The German Heart Centre Berlin and the Sport-Club Charlottenburg (SCC) have launched a sports group for people with congenital heart defects. The planning phase has now finally been completed. The group does sports together in a safe environment and under experienced guidance.

Our offer

At the Department of Congenital Heart Disease – Pediatric Cardiology Berlin, we care for patients of all ages with congenital diseases of the heart by a highly specialized team. Our range of treatment includes the entire diagnostics, treatment and therapy for congenital heart defects of any complexity.

With about 650 heart operations and approx. 400 cardiac catheter examinations per year, our hospital is one of the leading centers for congenital heart defects in Germany and Europe. A special feature is that we care for infants, children as well as adult patients up to old age under one roof.

For infants and children in particular, family integration is an important part of the recovery process. Parents are therefore involved in the care of their child at an early stage. As accompanying persons, parents can accompany their child on the day of an operation or an examination. In addition, there is always the possibility of spending the night in our pediatric care unit H4.
