KTQ – Kooperation für Transparenz und Qualität im Gesundheitswesen (Cooperation for Transparency and Quality in Health Care)

In October 2017 we received certification by KTQ (Cooperation for Transparency and Quality in Health Care) for the sixth time. The German Heart Institute Berlin achieved a total certification score that again showed an improvement since the last KTQ certification in 2014.

Seal additional qualification cardiac MRT

MRI has been used at the DHZB since 1996, and since then the clinic has played a leading role in the development of this diagnostic method in the field of heart medicine.
The "CMR-Academy" was founded as a subsidiary of the DHZB as early as 2001 in order to impart the broadly diversified expertise at our institution in individually tailored courses to radiologists, cardiologists and nuclear medicine specialists from all over the world. As one of only a few centres nationwide, our clinic was certified by the German Society for Cardiology (DGK) as a training centre for cardiac MRI examinations in 2015.

Special Rhythmology

Already in July 2014, the Clinic for Internal Medicine - Cardiology at the DHZB was one of the first clinics in Germany to be awarded the seal of approval by the German Society of Cardiology as a place to obtain the additional qualification "Special Rhythmology"". The requirements include the regular implantation of all active cardiac rhythm implants as well as the regular performance of all forms of catheter ablation. The corresponding specialized experience of at least two medical specialists must also be documented. With more than 200 pacemaker implantations and well over 400 electrophysiological examinations per year, the DHZB is one of the leading rhythmological centres in Berlin and Brandenburg.
