Together for diversity

At the DHZB, we live and promote diversity. We are committed to equal rights, equal opportunities and respectful cooperation. We know that diversity has many dimensions and, as an employer, we want to create the conditions for managers and employees to live these values at the DHZB.

We are aware of our strengths, but also of our weaknesses. By signing the "Charta der Vielfalt", we commit ourselves to continuously creating a respectful working environment for all employees - regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and ideology, sexual orientation and social origin.

Charta der Vielfalt

The "Charta der Vielfalt" promotes the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work. By signing the "Charta der Vielfalt", companies and institutions commit themselves to respecting all employees equally. To date, around 4,900 organizations with a total of around 15 million employees have signed the "Charta der Vielfalt".

Living Diversity

Around 1,700 employees of 64 different nationalities and faiths work for the DHZB and its subsidiaries. Together, they provide care for patients of all ages with cardiovascular diseases of all severities - 365 days a year. Around 20 percent of our workforce is under 30 years of age, 31 percent over 50. 66 percent of our employees are women.

Together with our employees, we take innovative approaches and look for new ways to continuously promote and shape diversity at the DHZB.

Integration of foreign employees

Arriving in a foreign country is rarely easy - at the DHZB, nurses from abroad receive comprehensive professional support and social integration.
