Subvalvular Aortic Stenosis

Indication

The indication for resection of a subvalvular stenosis is given when there are symptoms, when there are the beginnings of aortic valve insufficiency, and when there is a circumscript membrane with a maximal echo gradient of greater than 30mmHg at rest (to avoid the development of aortic valve insufficiency) and of greater than 60mmHg with a tunnel-shaped stenosis.
